Pamela Beason-your next favorite Pacific NW mystery writer.

This is a terrific mystery/thriller with well drawn out characters, gripping action scenes and thrilling plot twists. Beason builds tension at every turn. She writes about the wilderness and wild creatures with great detail and sensitivity. I will continue to read her Sam Westin mystery series with relish. You should too.

Summer “Sam” Westin’s assignment to report on cougars in a Utah park goes horribly awry when a child vanishes from a campground and the TV news focuses on the local mountain lions as the likely culprits. Sam has good reason to suspect the shadowy man she spotted at the end of the path. Can she find the truth in time to save both the child and the big cats?

The path to where I am now, a writer at last, has been long and convoluted. All good paths should be. It can give you so many interesting things to write about. Marriages, divorces, stupid jobs, rewarding jobs, good dogs, bad cats, lush gardens, scenic rivers, and friends. All that and a wild imagination helps me develop my stories and characters.
